British GP tickets sale boosted
The recent confirmation of Lewis Hamilton and Anthony Davidson's promotion to full-time Formula One drives next year has already had a big impact on sales for next year's British Grand Prix
With the McLaren and Super Aguri drivers joining Jenson Button and David Coulthard on the grid, Silverstone chiefs have revealed that ticket sales are already showing that fans are showing more interest than normal in next year's event.
The track's managing director Richard Phillips said: "It's only been a week since Lewis' drive was announced, and two weeks since Anthony was confirmed at Super Aguri, but we've already seen an increase in ticket sales.
"The last time we saw a reaction like this was after Jenson won in Hungary, so we're hoping it's a sign of things to come."
With some grandstands already sold out, and special offers in place for early booking, Phillips has urged those hoping to get a ticket to next year's event to buy their tickets soon.
"Ticket sales have gone well to date, and we would strongly recommend fans book early if they want to secure seats on their favourite section of the circuit," he added.
