British GP ticket deadline nears
Fans hoping to guarantee themselves cheaper tickets for the British Grand Prix are being urged not to delay committing themselves to the event, with the deadline for a special offer fast approaching
Silverstone has reminded fans that they have until February 1 to take advantage of a special deal that will give them access to the track for all three days of the event for just the price of a race day ticket.
The special Early Booking offer proved a massive hit in 2004 and, with the chance to attend all three days for just £95, it is expected that the event will once again be a sell-out.
Richard Phillips, Managing Director of Silverstone Circuits Limited, commented: "The support for this year's British Grand Prix has been fantastic. Ticket sales are up compared to this time in 2004 and some grandstands are already sold out, including sections of Copse, Luffield and Club.
"The signs are looking positive for another sell-out crowd and, with just two weeks remaining of our Early Booking Offer, we strongly recommend that spectators book their tickets as early as possible, enabling them to take advantage of three days for the price of a race day ticket offer."
Following the late go-ahead the event received from motor racing's governing body, the FIA, tickets for the race only went on sale on December 16 - but even so demand has been quite high.
