Brawn excited about 'uncaged' Button
Ross Brawn says he cannot wait to see newly-crowned world champion Jenson Button perform in the final race of the season, where the team boss believes his driver will be 'uncaged'
Button clinched his first world title in Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix after charging through the field to finish in fifth position, having started from 14th.
The Briton, whose team-mate Rubens Barrichello had qualified on pole, admitted after the race that he had been sick on Saturday night after his performance in qualifying.
Brawn says Button fought those feelings and came back strongly to put on a superb performance in the race.
Now the team boss is looking forward to seeing Button perform with no pressure in Abu Dhabi.
"I think he does it within himself," said Brawn of Button's recovery. "Like any top sportsman, they have to have that ability to recover from knocks. These knocks are bigger in a way because he is fighting for a world championship. Each time he has come back.
"This second half of the season has not been great, by his admission and our admission, but each time he has come back and recovered from difficult situations.
"I am fascinated to see how Abu Dhabi will go because the pressure is off and he will be uncaged."
Brawn again praised Button, who he reckons has a 'steel core'.
"He is very quick, very talented. Very determined. He went home destroyed on Saturday and came back on Sunday morning determined to put it right. He doesn't blame people; he is part of a team, which is great.
"There is a frothy outside but there is a steel core to it, which he has demonstrated. This will be a fantastic experience for him and I will expect to have a much stronger driver in the future."
