Barrichello: Honda can Make me Champion

The Brazilian, who makes his Ferrari farewell in Sunday's season-ending Chinese Grand Prix, pledged to make a big impact with his new team.

"I'm still dreaming of success," Barrichello told Reuters after qualifying eighth fastest on Saturday.

"I'm not coming (to Honda) to be just another driver. I want to be the World Champion and that's what I'll be working for."

Engine suppliers Honda will own the BAR team outright next year and Barrichello believes he and Briton Jenson Button can be a dream partnership.

"Jenson is obviously a good driver and seems to be a good guy," said the 33-year-old, who won last year's inaugural Chinese Grand Prix.

"We're going to have lots of fun and enjoy the time at Honda. Honda is coming with full power. They want to win as much as we do so I hope it's going to be one of the strongest teams."

Barrichello finished runner-up to Ferrari teammate and seven-times World Champion Michael Schumacher in last year's title race.

After several years of loyal service with Formula One's glamour team, Barrichello acknowledged that Sunday's race would be tinged with sadness.

"It's been a nice six years but I'm looking forward to next season so it's 50-50," he said. "It's business in a way. It's not the last race for me to show what I'm capable of.

"I'm just taking it as a normal race. Obviously a decent result would mean more but, in terms of the Championship, not because it's my last race for Ferrari."
