Barcelona day 2: Mixed test for Jaguar
Jaguar's Antonio Pizzonia topped the times on the second day of testing at Barcelona but team-mate Mark Webber's troubles continued and the Australian once again failed to set a representative time
Pizzonia's headed the timesheets with a best lap of 1m17.966s, which put him just fractions ahead of Tuesday's pacesetter, Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer.
Pizzonia told Jaguar-Racing.com: "It's a good start, but testing times mean very little really. There is a lot of work to be done but so far I have had no problems. We finished our programme as we did yesterday so it is a good start and more important than times really."
Toyota driver Cristiano da Matta improved his pace this afternoon, despite a spin. His best lap was just over a second shy of team-mate Olivier Panis, who suffered from a small gearbox problem near the end of the test.
Ferrari's other test driver, Luciano Burti, ran for the team at the Mugello circuit in Italy. The Brazilian driver completed 39 laps, and concentrated on testing electronics and new parts for the 2003 season. His best lap was a 1m25.795s.
