Episode three of the new series, My Favourite F1 Season, has just dropped on Autosport Retro with former commentator James Allen joining the show.
The now President of the Motorsport Network discusses 1993 which, although dominated by Alain Prost, was shaped by the behind the scenes politics.
James talks at length about Nigel Mansell’s shock departure Stateside, its impact on his former team Williams and how Michael Andretti headed the other way with McLaren.
Triple world champion Ayrton Senna was also driving for McLaren on an initial race-by-race basis before committing five grands prix into the season. So, that testing period is also explained by James, as well as a review of Autosport's Top 10 drivers of that year.
