Brazilian Pedro Diniz has won a legal battle against his former Arrows boss Tom Walkinshaw.
The dispute began when Walkinshaw, for whom Diniz drove for back in 1997 and 1998, sued the Brazilian claiming that Diniz's exit from the team at the end of the 1998 season was against contractual agreements.
Diniz's contract was thought to include a performance related clause that allowed the driver to leave the team if a certain level of performance was not met.
The Commercial High Court in London ruled in favour of the now former Formula One driver Diniz, and ordered Walkinshaw to reimburse £500,000 in compensation.
