Alonso Relaxed for Final Races

Fernando Alonso says he is planning on enjoying the final two races of the season and take a relaxed approach after securing the title in Brazil

The Spanish Renault driver became Formula One's youngest champion at Interlagos, but his team are two points behind McLaren in the battle for the constructors' crown.

Alonso says he will do his best to help Renault clinch the title, but the Spanish driver admitted the drivers' crown was his main priority and his motivation will not be the same in the final two races.

"For the drivers the only important thing or the only thing that motivates you is the Drivers' Championship," said Alonso. "The constructors' is good because you feel part of the team but at the end of the day it is not so important for you.

"It is true there is not the same motivation for the last two races but now in my case I will enjoy these two races because I have no pressure or anything to do specially.

"I will do my best, I will go as quickly as I can and this is what I like and I will feel happy in the car, it doesn't matter, in qualy, or if it is rainy, is dry, or you have the wrong tyre on the car or the right tyre, it doesn't matter, you only enjoy."
