Alonso not thinking about Red Bull duo

The Spaniard needs to finish in second place in Abu Dhabi to guarantee himself the title, but third will be enough as long as Webber does not win.

With intense focus on whether Vettel will help out Webber, Alonso says he's not worried about what the Red Bull duo might do.

"I think I will not lose one second of my energy thinking about what will happen on Sunday afternoon," said Alonso when asked for his feelings on the Red Bull situation.

"There is much more to do Friday and Saturday preparing for the weekend in the right way. Our only picture at the moment is winning the race or finishing second, that is the target and I think that is what we can achieve this year."

He added: "I think there is not anything we can do other than try to finish second or first in the race. That [second place] is mathematically our position to win the championship. It is our goal, and from tomorrow to Sunday our preparation will be to reach that target.

"On Saturday, the first row is possible, and pole position will be welcome as well, and then in the race being first and second is our only target. But it is true that if we are not first and second we will see how is the other position."

If Alonso fails to win the crown on Sunday, he said he would have little reason to be unhappy with how his 2010 campaign went.

"Obviously you feel sad if you lose in the last moment, but in my case I will not have anything to be disappointed about in 2010," he said. "In the last two years I was fighting to be in Q3, and also there were times when Ferrari had a tough year in 2009 as well.

"So this first year in our relationship we put ourselves there, against two Red Bulls who were dominating by far the season in terms of speed. So overall it doesn't matter what happens on Sunday, it will be a great memory for 2010."

Alonso said he was not worried about suggestions from some of his rivals that his title would be tainted if he did not win the crown by more than the seven points he gained through team orders at the German Grand Prix.

"I think winning by seven, or one or 25 points is a less important thing in my mind right now," he said.
