Alesi: I'll be in F1 for a while yet
Jean Alesi says he has at least a couple of more years left before he quits Grand Prix racing. The Frenchman, who is in his 13th season of Formula 1, will contest his 194th race at his home track in France this weekend and pass the magic 200 marker before the end of the year

If he reaches the end of next season he will have lasted longer than any other driver except Ricardo Partrese - he will have to last another four seasons to beat the Italian's outright record of 256 races
"It is a fact that I am the oldest driver in the field, but what is important is to not mix veteran and retired driver," said Alesi, after qualifying 19th - four places behind team mate Luciano Burti. "For sure I won't stay in Formula 1 for long, but another couple of years would be okay."
Alesi, 37, is also in a buoyant mood after recent developments to his Prost car have made the French team more competitive. "It has been a very good surprise," he said.
