Michael Schumacher will be presented with a special trophy to mark his final Formula One race in Brazil next weekend by footballing legend Pele.
The seven-time world champion, who only has an outside chance of clinching his eighth title in Brazil, will receive the honour to commemorate his contribution to both Grand Prix racing and the sporting world in general.
Pele is no stranger to F1, having famously waved the chequered flag at the wrong car a few years ago, but is clearly excited about his latest engagement.
"It is a great honour for me to represent all Brazilians in giving this trophy to the biggest Formula One idol in the world," said Pele about the presentation. "Michael is a great example to a new generation of sportsmen."
Ever since Schumacher announced his retirement from F1 he has found no shortage of people wanting to honour his achievements in the sport.
In Japan last week he was presented with a special silver platter by Bridgestone CEO Shoshi Arakawa at a ceremony in Tokyo.
