If you're coming in late and missed how Lewis Hamilton clinched his sixth title, and how Valtteri Bottas beat him to victory, here's the race report. We'll see you in two weeks' time for the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton seals sixth F1 title but Bottas denies him US GP win

Verstappen: "I tried to stay close in case something happened, it was a very good race and it was fun - I could see the cars ahead of me. There was a yellow flag on the back straight, so we couldn't use DRS..."
Hamilton: "It's just overwhelming. It was such a tough race today, Valtteri did a great job. As an athlete I feel as fresh as can be. We'll keep pushing for the rest of the season."
"I personally failed on my target this year, but he deserves it" says Bottas, sanguinely.
Hamilton parks up at the "reserved for the champion" parking space - the individuals who painted that will be glad it's got some use...
And it's doughnuts - or, in North America, donuts - for Hamilton.
"Still we rise, guys. Still we rise!" - guess who? Hamilton, our six-time champion, is suitably pleased.
"Get in there, Lewis" says Bonnington, typically. "Champion of the world! And that was in style!"
Retirements: Kubica, Vettel
Out of the points: 11 Perez; 12 Raikkonen; 13 Stroll; 14 Giovinazzi; 15 Grosjean; 16 Gasly (not running); 17 Russell; 18 Magnussen (not running)
Result: 1 Bottas; 2 Hamilton; 3 Verstappen; 4 Leclerc; 5 Albon; 6 Ricciardo; 7 Norris; 8 Sainz; 9 Hulkenberg; 10 Kvyat
Verstappen finishes 0.854s behind Hamilton in third place.
Bottas crosses the line to win the US GP, but second place means Hamilton is a six-time world champion!
Bottas is cruising to this race win now, with Hamilton hanging on to second by 0.6s at the moment.
Verstappen is close behind Hamilton as they begin the last lap but it doesn't look like he'll be quite close enough.
That's Magnussen in the gravel! Day over for the Dane, it looks like his brakes had just gone into turn 12.
Gasly has had to stop to make it to the end, his tyres were that far gone.
Verstappen is now poised to get DRS from Hamilton with two laps to go.
Gasly has, indeed, run out of tyres - he was 5s slower than Hulkenberg and Kvyat, and falls behind the pair.
Mercedes tells Hamilton what his gap to Verstappen is, and gets a blunt "I can see it, man!" reply. Verstappen makes clear to Red Bull he wants "full power!". He's told he has it.
Perez, meanwhile, relegates Gasly to 10th with a nice move at Turn 14 - and Hulkenberg might have the final say on points here too.
Verstappen is now within 2.5s of Hamilton for second place.
Hamilton is already 1.7s behind Bottas. He's still emphatically on course to become world champion today, but his driving has shown he'd have loved to have done it with a race win.
Norris has managed to wind Sainz in very quickly, and makes a move on his team-mate to grab seventh place.
Bottas immediately sprints away from Hamilton, who now has Verstappen 3s behind him and closing fast.
Bottas is right up behind Hamilton onto the back straight, hits the DRS, takes to the inside and snatches the race lead!
Verstappen is now within 4.1s of the lead. "They're in your sights..." Red Bull urges him.
Hamilton gets held up by Gasly into the final corner, Bottas is 0.4s behind him as the cross the line with four laps left.
A lock-up from Bottas now as he swarms all over the back of Hamilton.
Bottas goes to the outside of Hamilton at the end of the back straight but the leader keeps him out wide.
Hamilton runs slightly wide at the Turn 12 hairpin, giving Bottas a good run...
Hamilton pulls a tiny bit more breathing space over Bottas through the first sector.
Norris streaks clear of Gasly now, making his way up to eighth place.
Verstappen was a second quicker than both Mercedes on that lap and is 5.6s off the lead with five laps to go.
The two Mercedes are fractionally under one second apart as they approach a massive gaggle of traffic.
Bottas was only two tenths quicker than Hamilton on that last lap, but he's about to edge into DRS range.
Norris dispatches Perez, and Gasly's in touching distance too. Norris was 2s quicker than Gasly last time round.
Lead gaps: 1 Hamilton; 2 Bottas +1.3s; 3 Verstappen +7.1s
Hamilton does his fastest first sector of the day so far, he's not giving up on winning this race even though he only needs eighth to be champion.
