Ferrari fastest? That's the conclusion on single-lap pace from Friday at Hockenheim, although things certainly looked close on long runs. Here's our report from FP2, which brings our live coverage to a rather timely conclusion. We'll see you again for FP3 from 10.45am UK time.
German Grand Prix practice: Leclerc leads another Ferrari one-two

Grosjean reported right at the end of the session he had a "complete loss of power" on his final lap. Haas says it will investigate.
And the rest: 11 Sainz; 12 Kvyat; 13 Ricciardo; 14 Albon; 15 Gasly; 16 Norris; 17 Giovinazzi; 18 Magnussen; 19 Russell; 20 Kubica.
Final order: 1 Leclerc; 2 Vettel; 3 Hamilton; 4 Bottas; 5 Verstappen; 6 Grosjean; 7 Stroll; 8 Raikkonen; 9 Hulkenberg; 10 Perez.

Chequered flag. Leclerc keeps Ferrari on top in FP2.
Sainz reports he has had a brake pedal failure, adding an "Oof" for dramatic effect. He's made it back to the pits safely.
"I hear something a little bit strange on braking, maybe if you can check if everything is fine," says Leclerc, who is reassured by Ferrari that everything looks good on the data.
Hulkenberg, who stopped at the end of the pitlane prior to the red-flag period, reports he has no boost and is asked to pit.
White-walled hards seem to be the tyres of choice in these closing stages.
The session is back underway with nine minutes remaining.
Gasly's car is on the flatbed truck and heading towards the first corner but, given there's just 10 minutes left on the clock, it's unlikely anyone will achieve much meaningful running before the 90 minutes is up.

Replays show the rear got away from Gasly as he came through the final corner.
"I lost it," says Gasly, who reports he's OK.
Ooh, Hulkenberg didn't cause the stoppage - Gasly did. He went off applying power exiting the final corner and hit the barrier with the left-hand side of his car.

The red flag is now out as a result.
Uh-oh. Hulkenberg reports he's in neutral, and that "nothing happened" when he pulled the clutch and tried to downshift. Renault asks him to stop the car.
Verstappen has taken mediums for this run - so going against the grain. Red Bull has sent Gasly out on the more conventional softs.
Ah, there was a lag with Leclerc's tyre info after that stop. He's actually back out on a set of hards.
Verstappen heads out to start his long run in the lead Red Bull, as Leclerc dives to the pits quickly before rejoining on his softs.
Vettel and Leclerc appeared to go for cool-down laps a moment ago, but are back on the pace again and look decent in race trim. Vettel spent a couple of laps in the 1m18s, and has now done two in a row in the 1m19s. Hamilton did a 1m20s on his previous lap, while his latest is a 1m21.031s.
Bottas was wide again exiting the penultimate corner and lost a couple of seconds on his first long-run lap.

Hamilton does his first long-run lap of this simulation and sets a 1m19.126s. Vettel, who's swapped to softs, does a 1m18.663s.
Yet to see too many representative times from the frontrunners yet, but in the midfield it's Sainz and the Racing Points that look fastest at the moment.
Hulkenberg is told to watch his left rear because "it's getting very hot now".
"I'm not learning anything with this. Box," says Vettel, who was only out for four laps on mediums.
Gasly is asked if he wants "one more push", but he reports the tyres are gone and pits.
Hamilton is out on softs for his run.
Vettel, meanwhile, is the first of the frontrunners attempting a long run. His first representative time on mediums is a 1m19.816s.
No such pace from team-mate Gasly, though, who's still 15th and struggling to improve on softs.
Verstappen's issue can't have been too big, as he sets a 1m14.133s to go fifth.
And the rest: 11 Sainz; 12 Kvyat; 13 Ricciardo; 14 Albon; 15 Gasly; 16 Norris; 17 Giovinazzi; 18 Magnussen; 19 Russel; 20 Kubica
Order midway (and a bit) through the session: 1 Leclerc; 2 Vettel +0.124s; 3 Hamilton +0.146s; 4 Bottas +0.662s; 5 Grosjean +0.730s; 6 Stroll +0.819s; 7 Raikkonen +1.009s; 8 Hulkenberg +1.023s; 9 Perez +1.069s; 10 Verstappen +1.139s.
Hamilton was offered the chance to do a couple of cool down laps before going for another lap, but backs out of it and is back in the pits now.
