Status: Stopped

Hamilton looks up at the Union Jack and waves his finger as the British national anthem rings out.
The rain is hammering down now as the podium ceremony begins.

Hamilton is embraced by Mercedes chairman Dieter Zetsche, who congratulates his man on a brilliant victory.
"Not an easy race" says Raikkonen, who felt being asked to move over for Vettel did not make an awful lot of difference to his race given he needed to stop again.
“It’s obviously highly unlikely from that position - but you’ve always got to believe. The team did a fantastic job today. I’m so grateful. Hopefully this solidifies be belief. For those who don’t know me, now they do”

"When Seb went off I thought now was a good time, but I think the safety car came at a better time for Lewis" Bottas is sanguine after missing his chance to win and says he understands Mercedes' call to ask him to hold station behind Hamilton after the restart to "minimise the risk".

"Highly unlikely but you've got to believe" says Hamilton, who said a long prayer before the start. "I kept pushing, kept believing and I manifested my dream today, so thanks to God".

"Aaah, impossible to overtake" is his response.
Ferrari telling Raikkonen he drove a consistent race and deserved more. "Sorry" is the word used.
German GP finishing order: 1 Hamilton, 2 Bottas, 3 Raikkonen, 4 Verstappen, 5 Hulkenberg, 6 Grosjean, 7 Perez, 8 Ocon, 9 Ericsson, 10 Hartley, 11 Magnussen, 12 Sainz, 13 Vandoorne, 14 Gasly, 15 Leclerc, 16 Alonso (not running at finish). Retired: Stroll, Vettel, Sirotkin, Ricciardo.

Hamilton is only the 12th driver to win a world championship grand prix after starting 14th or lower.
Hulkenberg takes fifth. Grosjean nabs sixth from Perez on the last lap!
It's a Mercedes 1-2, with Bottas second, while Raikkonen holds onto the final podium spot ahead of Max Verstappen.
Lewis Hamilton wins the German Grand Prix from 14th on the grid!

Grosjean's charge continues. He picks off Ocon and is up to seventh now.
Hamilton starts that final lap with another blistering fastest lap - 1m15.5s. He's 3.9s clear of Bottas.
"Threat of rain will be last lap," Hamilton is told.

Lap 66/67: 1 Hamilton, 2 Bottas, 3 Raikkonen, 4 Verstappen, 5 Hulkenberg, 6 Perez.
"The rain will be heavier, it's coming from Turn 2 and Turn 6," Mercedes says to Bottas.
"Threat of rain to the north is building," Hamilton is told.
Grosjean passes Ericsson now to claim eighth.
Slow lap for Bottas, and Raikkonen is now within DRS range of him.
What did we say about Hamilton's pace? He's just put another fastest lap in! 1m15.708s. He leads Bottas by 3.7s.
Sainz dumps Hartley out of the top 10, but that will be moot given Sainz's penalty.
Ericsson has a go at Ocon at the hairpin but runs too deep into the corner and is re-passed on the exit
Hamilton seems happy with his 2.8-second lead, and settles into a pace a couple of tenths slower than Bottas.
Ten second penalty for Sainz for overtaking behind the safety car.
Raikkonen can't do anything about Bottas now, it seems. The Ferrari has fallen 1.5 seconds behind.
