Here's our full report from that session. And that's it for our live coverage of Friday at the French Grand Prix. Join us again tomorrow for FP3 and qualifying.
French GP: Lewis Hamilton dominates Ricard Friday practice two
Final order: 1 Hamilton 1m32.539s; 2 Ricciardo +0.704s; 3 Verstappen +0.732s; 4 Raikkonen +0.887s; 5 Vettel +1.150s; 6 Grosjean +1.160s; 7 Bottas +1.617s; 8 Alonso +1.861s; 9 Magnussen +1.918s; 10 Gasly +1.996s; 11 Hulkenberg +2.528s; 12 Sainz +2.547s; 13 Vandoorne +2.633s; 14 Leclerc +3.044s; 15 Hartley +3.158s; 16 Ocon +3.166s; 17 Stroll +3.397s; 18 Sirotkin +3.431s; 19 Perez +3.541s; 20 Ericsson no time.

Hamilton sets the pace comfortably, with the Red Bulls second and third and the Ferraris fourth and fifth.
That's the end of FP2.
But there is a yellow flag at Turn 4 thanks to Alonso subsequently spinning!
"Another lap time - maybe with deployment!" says Alonso gruffly.

Perez heads back out with (hopefully) four wheels properly attached for the final two minutes of the session.

A late show from Alonso on ultrasofts, as he vaults McLaren up to eighth, 0.057s clear of Magnussen.
The VSC has been withdrawn as we head into the final five minutes of FP2.

Hartley seemed to lose drive coming out of the chicane on the back straight. That Honda engine sounded very rough indeed.
The virtual safety car is out.
Problem for Hartley who has stopped out on circuit.
Williams tells him the rear tyres are overheating, but Stroll cuts across and says "I don't feel they are overheating".
"Give me information! Tell me something I should be doing!" Stroll losing his cool again on the Williams radio.

Replays show Leclerc having a brief off-track moment in his Sauber.
"The car really doesn't work well on these tyres," reports Stroll, who is on supersofts.

"How is the wind?" Gasly asks Toro Rosso. "Same direction" the team replies.
Clearly impressed by Vettel's pace, Ricciardo has switched to supersofts too now. Verstappen is also doing a long run on the red-walled tyre. Hamilton and Raikkonen are back out and banging around on used ultras.

Mercedes reports that Bottas's session is over thanks to a water leak.
Vettel is more than a second quicker than Ricciardo at present, those used supersofts holding up well it seems.
Hulkenberg reports he is "losing the rear left quickly" on this long run.

A small improvement from Vandoorne, who stays 12th but is nearly two tenths clear of Alonso now.
Grosjean moves up to sixth on his ultrasoft low-fuel run, moving ahead of Bottas and getting within 0.010s of Vettel's best.
Vettel has just done a 1m37.753s lap on well used supersofts. Ricciardo is lapping in 1m38.306s on his ultras.
Ricciardo has commenced a long run on ultrasofts, while Vettel has been getting a headstart by pounding around on supersofts.
Vandoorne is 12th after his first ultrasoft attempt, only 0.024s clear of Alonso, who is still using soft tyres apparently.
Grosjean moves up to seventh with a 1m34.264s lap on ultrasofts.
