"Thank you guys," comes the reply from the polesitter.
 
Ricciardo jumps both Verstappen and Raikkonen to go fourth.
Hamilton rescued that slide extremely well, at high speed, but too much time to make back up there.
Vettel cements third place but is half a second back.
Neither Mercedes improves at all, with Hamilton sliding wildly at the final corner, so Bottas is on pole for the second straight race!
Neither Mercedes puts in a great middle sector.
Good start to Hamilton's lap, he's a tenth up on Bottas in sector one.
Everyone is back out for a final run.
 
 
First runs order: 1 Bottas; 2 Hamilton; 3 Vettel; 4 Raikkonen; 5 Verstappen; 6 Ricciardo; 7 Hulkenberg; 8 Ocon; 9 Perez; 10 Massa
Ricciardo is slower than Verstappen this time and goes sixth.
Verstappen is 1.4s off the pace in fifth.
Vettel takes third from Raikkonen but is six tenths off the pace.
Raikkonen is third but a hefty 0.754s down on Bottas.
Bottas sets a provisional pole tme of 1m36.231s, and Hamilton is slower by 0.172s.
 
 
The pole contenders pour out of the pits as Q3 begins.
 
 
A moment of excitement there before Q3 gets underway shortly.
Replays show Hulkenberg and Perez almost collided at the final corners.

Perez was slow on the racing line, forcing Hulkenberg to the inside as Perez looked to move across and go to the pitlane.

Out in Q2: 11 Alonso; 12 Sainz; 13 Vandoorne; 14 Magnussen; 15 Stroll
 
Massa goes 10th - he's into Q3 for his farewell race at Alonso's expense!
Sainz goes up to 11th but misses Q3.
Magnussen doesn't improve on 13th despite some sector gains.
Alonso and Vandoorne stay 10th and 11th.
Vandoorne and Sainz, currently 11th and 14th, aren't improving. Massa and Magnussen between them are.
