Join us tomorrow for the Malaysian Grand Prix at 8am UK time.
Tomorrow's top three.

Fair few comments from the drivers about wanting to avoid the 'sandwich' at Singapore, surely it couldn't happen again?

The prospect of Verstappen charging at a championship-mode Hamilton and Raikkonen into Turn 1 is a good one, isn't it?

That's some turnaround from Mercedes and Hamilton to go from being absolutely flummoxed on Friday to starting pole. And with Vettel at the back of the grid, too...

Here's your top 10 on the grid for the Malaysian GP:

1. Hamilton
2. Raikkonen
3. Verstappen
4. Ricciardo
5. Bottas
6. Ocon
7. Vandoorne
8. Hulkenberg
9. Perez
10. Alonso
Looks like a lock-up at the final corner did for Raikkonen's pole effort.
Ocon and Vandoorne shuffled Hulkenberg down to eighth, while Perez beat Alonso to ninth.
Lewis Hamilton takes pole position for the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Raikkonen...misses out! By half a tenth!
Hamilton doesn't improve!
Bottas improves but stays fifth – it's Hamilton vs Raikkonen for pole...
Verstappen improves but stays third.
Raikkonen is flying – is he about to steal pole?
Hulkenberg completes his sole flying lap in Q3 and goes sixth for now on a 1m31.607s. Good lap from the Renault man.
Sounds like Hamilton has the all-clear on engine modes, so will Mercedes have enough to keep Ferrari at bay?

Perez and Alonso left leaving the pits later than everyone else. We have our 10 drivers on track though. Let's see what they've got.

Less than three minutes remaining...can Raikkonen overhaul Hamilton? Ricciardo and Hulkenberg head out for the final flurry of efforts...
"We know," adds Mercedes.
Hamilton tells Mercedes they need "to sort that out", presumably a reference to the earlier message about a mode problem.

Here's the top 10 after the first runs:

1. Hamilton
2. Raikkonen
3. Ricciardo
4. Verstappen
5. Bottas
6. Perez
7. Ocon
8. Vandoorne
9. Alonso
10. Hulkenberg (no time)
