Summary

Status: Stopped

Hamilton can only manage third, Vettel and Bottas still on the front row.

Hamilton successful navigates Turn 4, that's something to be positive about.
"Big vibration on these tyres," says Hamilton.

Sorry LH44 fans...
All 10 cars on track now, as Hamilton comes through the final corner to start his lap.
Here come the rest. Sainz also out early - he didn't bother with an early Q3 run.

Max Verstappen is wiping his brow through his visor in his pit garage. It's roasting for the drivers in Hungary.
Little surprise to see Hamilton first out for the final attempts. He aborted his first run after going off at Turn 4.
Replays show Raikkonen locking up at Turn 1. That's not particularly unusual, but still not ideal for the condition of the tyres.
Five minutes left in Q3. Plenty of time for more to happen.
Vettel is currently 0.355s clear of the field, but we haven't seen a time from Hamilton yet.
Everyone has used super-softs on those first runs, so no signs yet of any likely Q3 contenders trying to use a harder tyre as their race start set.
Drop zone: Palmer, Sainz, Kvyat, Grosjean, Perez.
Top 10: 1 Vettel, 2 Verstappen, 3 Hamilton, 4 Raikkonen, 5 Bottas, 6 Hulkenberg, 7 Ricciardo, 8 Alonso, 9 Vandoorne, 10 Ocon.

Hulkenberg beats the McLarens and Ricciardo to go sixth. Palmer comes round 11th in the second Renault.
Seventh for Vandoorne, who is then pipped by Alonso. Best of the rest for McLaren right now.
Verstappen goes second behind Vettel, 0.2s down.

Grosjean runs wide at the exit of Turn 5. No obvious damage there.
Esteban Ocon is reporting more understeer than he had in Q1, which he says is "strange". He'll be hoping that's sorted quickly.
Ricciardo slots into fifth behind the Ferrari-Mercedes-Ferrari-Mercedes arrangement.
"There's a bit of vibration on these tyres," says Hamilton. It hasn't slowed him any into Turn 1...

Vettel, Hamilton and Bottas are first out. Remember the days when Minardi used to be the first team on track in qualifying?

Q2 begins.
Kvyat got on the radio, just before the session ended, to say "the car is ok".

He didn't hit anything, the car just snapped loose at the rear at high speed. The run off saved any issues, or so Kvyat hopes.

Perez and Magnussen set identical times - 1m19.095s. One is through to Q2, one is out. Ouch.
