Summary

Status: Stopped
Thanks for tuning in, we'll have more from the Bahrain paddock over the coming hours. See you again tomorrow for FP3 and qualifying.
It seems something to do with his seat is what's troubling Stroll.
"I'm in so much pain," says Stroll over the radio. We'll try to find out more about that.
Tail end: 16 Stroll; 17 Ericsson; 18 Sainz; 19 Wehrlein; 20 Vandoorne
Midfield: 11 Magnussen; 12 Ocon; 13 Palmer; 14 Alonso; 15 Perez
Top 10: 1 Vettel; 2 Bottas; 3 Ricciardo; 4 Raikkonen; 5 Hamilton; 6 Hulkenberg; 7 Massa; 8 Verstappen; 9 Grosjean; 10 Kvyat
There's the chequered flag to finish the night's F1 running in Bahrain.
Raikkonen, Hamilton and Verstappen's super-soft runs were all compromised in various ways, they'll end up fourth, fifth and eighth.
There's little to choose between the top teams - a Ferrari, a Mercedes and a Red Bull covered by 0.066s up front.
Three minutes to go and despite that odd car shutdown scare, it's going to be a clean sweep of Friday practice sessions for Vettel.

Traffic prompts the day's first sweary Vettel radio message - at least the first that's been broadcast.

Vettel reports he has "a brake alarm" sounding, but Ferrari checks and tells him it's fine to keep pushing.
"Hamilton can do 1m37.2s, Raikkonen 1m37.4s, deg looks like it's stabilised for others," Ricciardo is told. He's just backed off.
Firmly in long-run territory now - and we'll analyse the form from those in full on Autosport later tonight - and 15 of the 20 cars are on track.

"Fernando, how is the front wing?" asks McLaren. "Too much," is the succinct reply.
Vettel is indeed back in business on softs.
McLaren told Vandoorne his lap times so far were not bad at all for used tyres with a flat spot.
"We are matching pace with Hamilton and Bottas," is Ferrari's assessment of Raikkonen's current long run.
As that tweet suggests, Vettel's car is back in action already.

Vandoorne now does a flying lap, he's slowest but is the only one bar car-failure victim Sainz whose time is on softs not super-softs.

Tail end: 16 Stroll; 17 Ericsson; 18 Sainz; 19 Wehrlein. No time yet: Vandoorne
Midfield: 11 Magnussen; 12 Ocon; 13 Palmer; 14 Alonso; 15 Perez
Current top 10: 1 Vettel; 2 Bottas; 3 Ricciardo; 4 Raikkonen; 5 Hamilton; 6 Hulkenberg; 7 Massa; 8 Verstappen; 9 Grosjean; 10 Kvyat
Ferrari mechanics are sprinting down the pitlane to meet Vettel and bring the car back to the garage.
Vettel is back in the car while marshals push the Ferrari towards the pitlane.
"Complete shutdown," was Vettel's description of that failure. No smoke or anything, it just stopped on him.
Vandoorne is back in the pits before setting a time, but that's likely to have just been a installation lap after the repairs.
Vettel's car is trundling off the hill towards the final corner off the track, but he's not going to make it back to the pitlane.
