We'll be back then for coverage from Bahrain, but in the meantime check back on autosport.com for all the latest race reaction and then news in the build-up to that race. Here's our full race report from a fascinating Chinese Grand Prix.
That's it from the podium celebrations. It all starts again on Friday, with free practice for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Hamilton on the title fight: "It's going to be one of the closest ones, if not the closest one I've experienced."
Verstappen: "I think lap one I passed nine cars. Afterwards, it was a very good race, I didn't have a lot of track time with the car balance from yesterday, so it was basically nursing the car to the finish. I didn't expect that [being on the podium] at all."
"On the exit, I was a bit compromised, then I got my elbows out. He really squeezed me," says Vettel of his wheel-rubbing moment with Ricciardo.
Vettel: "My start was OK but then I realised the intermediates had a lot of degradation. I was happy to take the risk [of pitting under the VSC]. But the safety car came when the conditions were getting quicker and I couldn't use the advantage."
"That's OK, I don't mind being on the top step," Hamilton says after learning Verstappen was voted driver of the day.
Hamilton: "It was incredible.Today was very very tough for us all. We all started on inters and it was very hard because there were dry patches everywhere, but there were some corners that were wet. But a great job done by Sebastian and this young dude here [Verstappen]."
Aldo Costa is wisely taking shelter in his coat to avoid a champagne shower. This tactic is only of limited success though.
"After the safety car, I was behind all of you and then I was stuck behind Kimi for a while because there was a bit of a train," Vettel tells Verstappen, as they compare notes on their races.
