We will be back tomorrow morning from 7:45am UK time for the second day of Barcelona running. See you then.

Decent showing for Sauber to crack 100 laps on its first day with the C35.

Right now we have Bottas (1m28s), Hamilton (1m27s) and Kvyat (1m31s) on track.

Naturally, as we declared there was lots going on, everyone bar Hamilton and Magnussen has pitted.
Quite a lot going on at the moment with lots of people setting new personal best times on soft tyres. Hamilton remains on mediums, lapping in the low 1m27s.

Haryanto's first attempt on softs is a 1m27.699s.
Alonso follows up two personal best sectors by just missing out on an improvement in the McLaren, while Hulkenberg lowers his quickest time to a 1m25.626s. Nasr goes quicker - 1m26.025s - on softs.
Hamilton posts his first 'quick' lap of the day. He's up to 6th with a 1m25.051s on mediums.
Alonso and Raikkonen head out too - the track is getting busy again.
Verstappen is on softs - Hamilton on mediums for these latest runs.
Verstappen joins the action after a series of burnouts, while Hamilton returns to the track for the first time since completing his race simulation.
Just Bottas and Kvyat on track now - both lapping at 1m30s or slower.

Hamilton has been consistently in the 1m27s on this final stint of his race simulation, with the lower-fuel level and fresh mediums working nicely on the Mercedes.

Laps completed so far:

Verstappen, 111
Hulkenberg, 97
Bottas, 90
Rosberg, 82
Magnussen, 86
Nasr, 77
Alonso, 68
Hamilton, 53
Raikkonen, 47
Kvyat, 32
Guttierez, 23
Haryanto, 22
Haryanto improves in the Manor, he's down to a 1m29.593s now.

Hamilton's first flying lap of this stint is a new personal best - 1m27.043s.
Hamilton's outlap time tells us that Mercedes' third stop was 10-11s faster than the two where it had real trouble with the front-left wheel.
Hamilton's last stint on mediums was 17 laps.
Hamilton pits for the third time in this race simulation, taking on brand new mediums. There is no repeat of the major dramas that affected his first two stops, but it's a pretty pedestrian change by F1 race standards as Mercedes opts for caution.
Verstappen leads the driver lap count for the day. He was the first to break 100, and is now up to 110 in the Toro Rosso.
Kvyat returns for a pass-through the pits following that latest improvement on the soft tyres.
Kvyat moves up to fourth with a 1m25.049s.
Nasr improves to a 1m26.821s in the Sauber.
Kvyat is back out on the softs, and going quicker again.

Hamilton's pitboard informs us he is now on lap 41 of this race simulation. He's also 12 laps into this, his third stint.
