Patrik Flodin has broken his collarbone and will not contest the Tour de Corse with the Petter Solberg Engineering team.
The 27-year-old Swede had been expected to make his debut in a Ford Fiesta S2000 on the next round of the IRC, but he will be replaced for the French Island event.
Solberg said: "It's shocking, unbelievable! I found out on Friday night on the way back from Argentina. I couldn't believe it after we had the same with Jari-Matti [Latvala]. I'm not sure how he did it, but he won't be competing in Corsica.
"We are talking about who will replace him in the team, but Patrik will probably do Cyprus at the end of the season now as well."
Flodin has a six-rally agreement with PSE for this year's IRC series.
