Frentzen to remain in hospital
Opel's Heinz-Harald Frentzen will remain in hospital for the next couple of days in Ludwigshafen, Germany, as doctors would like to keep him under observation
Frentzen suffered concussion after crashing out of the final round of the DTM at Hockenheim on Sunday and was airlifted to the hospital, after first being evaluated at the circuit's medical centre, and given a CAT scan on arrival.
He underwent another brain scan on Monday morning, and his doctors want to wait until the head pain he is suffering goes away before discharging him.
Frentzen's Opel Vectra had slewed off the circuit at Hockenheim's Sudkurve and slammed sideways into the tyre wall. He was unconscious when marshals arrived on the scene of the accident.
An Opel spokesman told Autosport-Atlas: "Heinz-Harald is still shaken and suffering a severe headache. The doctors suggested that he doesn't fly, and he agrees. He is walking around, and has no other problems, but he will stay there for the next one or two days."
