Ducati Moto GP rider Nicky Hayden will try out DTM machinery for the first time at Lausitz this weekend.
The 2006 world champion will perform a series of demonstration runs at the German circuit on Saturday in a Mercedes C-class as part of a tie-in between Ducati and Mercedes' high-performance arm AMG.
Mercedes driver David Coulthard will give Hayden some driving tips before the American takes to the track.
Hayden is not the only two-wheeled ace at Lausitz this weekend; World Superbike race-winner Max Neukirchner, 20-time grand prix winner Ralf Waldmann and Dirk Raudies - the 125cc world champion of 1993 - will all compete in the Volkswagen Scirocco-R Cup.
Current Moto2 points leader Stefan Bradl had been due to race a Scirocco as well, but has been laid down with a cold.
