Winner Turkington disqualified

Colin Turkington has lost his Snetterton race one victory after being excluded for running underweight

Winner Turkington disqualified

The Team RAC driver's BMW 320si was found to be two kilograms underweight and he will now have to start race two from the back of the grid, but still carrying the winner's success ballast.

"We've been weighed on our own scales here, before the race, and it was fine," Turkington said.

"I'll start race two from the pit lane. It compromises the weekend - it'll be hard to get much out of it."

Turkington's exclusion means that Team Dynamics' Gordon Shedden takes the win, with Tom Onslow-Cole second and Tom Chilton third.

"I do feel for him," said Shedden. "That's not the driver's fault, he's not shoved anyone off or anything. But it's good news for us."
