Vauxhall Eyeing 100th Win
Vauxhall could score their 100th win in the British Touring Car Championship at Knockhill this weekend
Vauxhall has 98 race victories in the sport and heads to this weekend's Scottish round knowing that victory in two of the three races would allow them to become only the second manufacturer in the history of the sport to achieve the feat.
Ford lead the way in the all time winners list with 219 victories, however Vauxhall are a comfortable second having powered the winner of the last four drivers' titles.
The team's leading driver and 2003 champion Yvan Muller hopes he can cut the deficit back to Team Halfords runner Matt Neal in the title chase before the end of the season. Muller is currently 16 points behind the British driver.
Muller said: "I am hopeful that the Astra will be well-suited to Knockhill. We were down on power at the last round at Snetterton, but this is a much twistier track, and I am pleased with the progress we have made with the balance of the car through the turns and it is now a very good car to drive through the corners.
"Although there are only three events left this year, that is still nine races and lots of points. I'm not giving up until the chequered flag at the last race."
