Third works Honda TBL for 2016 British Touring Car Championship

A third Team Dynamics Honda will join the 2016 British Touring Car Championship grid, the series has revealed with the announcement of the permits to compete in next year's series

Since the start of 2014, all teams are required to have a TOCA BTCC Licence (TBL) to compete.

Series bosses initially issued 30 permits and kept two back that were available to be loaned to a suitable entrant.

Competing teams had until the end of October 2015 to apply for the licences ahead of next year's contest.

Honda Yuasa Racing, which ran champion Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal in this year's championship in the Honda Civic Type R, has been granted the loan of a third permit for 2016.

BTCC director Alan Gow has also confirmed that a permit will be again loaned to the Support Our Paras Racing Infiniti team.

The squad was loaned two permits as a works operation at the start of 2015, but one reverted to Gow when Infiniti withdrew its factory support and Derek Palmer was left as the sole entry.

An additional full-time licence has been handed to the Speedworks Motorsport team, which ran a sole entry for Tom Ingram in this year's contest in a Toyota Avensis.
