Motorbase's new BTCC Ford Focus hits the track
British Touring Car squad Motorbase's new Ford Focus has hit the track for the first time at Brands Hatch
The revised NGTC machine features a tweaked front end and new side skirts.
The upgrades are part of a push as Motorbase attempts improve on a win-less 2013 and go for the title with new signing Fabrizio Giovanardi.
Before the run, team boss David Bartrum said: "We've got to bounce back from last year and prove our point.
"We've been able to make some aero changes and looked at every aspect of the car in order to improve it."
Motorbase has yet to confirm its other two drivers for 2014, though AUTOSPORT understands one of the strong possibilities has not previously raced in the BTCC.
