Lloyd aims for Donington return
Daniel Lloyd is aiming to return to the British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park in September
The teenager, who made his series debut with the Triple 8 Vauxhall squad at Croft, has missed the last two rounds for budgetary reasons. But he is working on finalising a package to enable him to return to Ian Harrison's squad later in the year.
"It's so frustrating to have been on the sidelines since Croft," said Lloyd. "We're working harder than ever to try and put together a package which will enable me to be back with Triple Eight and we're targeting Donington next month for our return.
"Missing Snetterton and Silverstone was disappointing as we couldn't build on the Croft weekend. I'd have loved to be out at Knockhill next weekend but I'll just have to watch it all on TV instead.
"We're fully committed to being back before the end of the season though and we've got a few things being worked on at the moment so hopefully it'll all work out well for Donington."
Lloyd lies 17th in the championship having taken impressive seventh and eighth places at Croft.
