Jake Hill retains BTCC seat to complete Team Hard's 2017 line-up

Team Hard has completed its line-up for the 2017 British Touring Car Championship by retaining Jake Hill

The team, which will switch to run ex-Team BKR VW CCs in the championship this season, had already signed Mike Epps and Will Burns to drive two of its cars and has now confirmed Hill as its final driver.

Hill will be starting his second full campaign with the team after a strong 2016 season, having finished 17th in the points with six top-six finishes to his name.

The 22-year-old, who had only made occasional appearances in the BTCC before the 2016 season, said: "Last year I learned a huge amount and felt we made some strong progress.

"We worked really well as a team, and it's really significant having continuity with the crew and the partners.

It's great to be racing the VW Passat CC with the latest RML equipment as it will be strong at lots of circuits."

Team head Tony Gilham said that he was pleased to help Hill to return to the line-up for 2017.

"Jake was really strong last year and got the absolute maximum from the car," he said. "The team worked really well with him and with the new cars I'm confident all three of our drivers will be in the mix."
