Forster to join BTCC at Rockingham
Forster Motorsport will make its British Touring Car Championship debut at Rockingham this weekend
The BMW squad missed the Thruxton season-opener because the engines from the 320si machines of Arthur Forster and Martin Depper were away being serviced by BMW Motorsport in Germany, but is now ready to race.
"We're good to go," team principal Forster told AUTOSPORT. "Obviously it was a shame to miss Thruxton, and we won't have a chance to shake down the cars before Rockingham. I'm looking forward to it though."
There is some doubt, however, as to whether the team will run one car or two at Rockingham.
While Forster will race, Depper's participation is in doubt because he is currently stuck in Florida due to the ongoing travel situation that has arisen following the eruption of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland.
"We'll do everything we can to get him back in time," Forster added. "Even if it means getting him on a flight to mainland Europe and me having to drive down and get him myself."
