Dynamics Set to Field Third Car

British Touring Car Championship leaders Team Dynamics are set to field a third example of their dominant Honda Integra Type-R for Gareth Howell later this year, according to this week's Autosport

The team are due to complete the preparation of a brand new car in the next two weeks, which championship leader Matt Neal is due to use in place of his current car. This would free up the first car to be run for Gareth Howell, providing funds can be secured.

Dynamics boss Steve Neal said: "Matt's was the first car built and we've learned a lot about the car, so it makes sense to put him in a new one. With the experience we've got we can get the car a lot lighter so we can start to use the ballast in the car. That will leave us with an extra car to put out later in the year should we need to."

Howell, who last raced in the BTCC in a Dynamics-run Vauxhall Astra in 2003, is working on raising further funds, and could make his seasonal debut as early as croft on July 16/17.

Howell said: "Without the ballast at the start I could go straight in and be quick. To get out in a car as good as the Integra is a superb opportunity."
