Chilton targets title assault

British Touring Car race winner Tom Chilton is targeting an assault on the title this season after sampling his Team Dynamics Honda Civic for the first time

Speaking on the stage at the Autosport International Show, Chilton said: "I was blown away by how much feeling the car gives through the steering wheel. I really enjoyed driving it and I'm looking forward to the racing now.

"I've got some big shoes to fill at Dynamics but I think it's a good move for me. The team finished third and fourth in the driver's championship without having done any winter testing.

"By the end of the year they really had it nailed and the Honda was as quick as the Vauxhall."

"I can't wait to get out and start testing again and I believe we're going to make a big push for the championship this year."

Chilton will line up alongside Gordon Shedden in the team, the Scot contesting his third BTCC season with Dynamics.
