Special Tuning Racing is still hoping to compete in the 2012 British Touring Car Championship, despite the lack of a deal with less than three weeks until the start of the season.
STR, which ran two turbocharged SEAT Leons in the series last year, has expanded into the World Touring Car Championship this season.
It had hoped to continue in the BTCC, but STR's Tom Boardman confirmed deals have been hard to come by.
"We've got a car sat there ready to go, but we've not really had the interest," he said.
Boardman, who scored his first BTCC win at Knockhill last year, did not rule out making sporadic BTCC appearances, if he could fit them around his WTCC commitments.
"The problem is all the clashes, it's pretty flat-out," he added. "It'd be great to do some because I love the atmosphere in the BTCC.
"If I could find the time to do the odd round that would be great."
