Two British Touring Car drivers are in doubt for the next round at Oulton Park after heavy Thruxton accidents.
Ollie Jackson's Welch-run Proton (pictured) and Simon Belcher's Handy Motorsport Toyota Avensis both went off at the high-speed Church right-hander in the final race.
Both escaped unscathed, but their cars are seriously damaged and the teams face a race against time to get them ready for Oulton on June 7-8.
Belcher told AUTOSPORT: "Something on the front-right broke and the car turned left. There's a lot broken so we just don't know what broke first.
"Oulton is questionable at the moment. The shell's gone and we're light on budget because it's our first year.
"We're going to have to wait and see what's what."
Dan Welch, who runs Jackson's car, was more confident, despite not yet knowing what caused the crash.
"It changed direction on him and he lost it," said Welch. "Luckily he got out of it and walked away.
"It's done a lot of damage - there's a hole in the engine, it's ripped the gearbox apart, and the shell's damaged, but we'll work like crazy to get it out for Oulton."
