Reigning champion Gordon Shedden has been excluded from his third place in the second race at Brands Hatch.
The works Honda suffered a difficult race one, finishing 19th after on-track incidents and a pitstop.
But in the second race Shedden was one of the stars, charging from row 10 to third and finishing right behind the Eurotech Civic of Andrew Jordan.
He has been excluded however for failing the ride height test.
Jordan's team-mate Jeff Smith has been elevated to third, his second BTCC podium.
Mat Jackson's Motorbase Ford Focus will now start on pole for the reversed-grid race three.
Dynojet Toyota Avensis racer Frank Wrathall has also been fined £1000 and given three points on his licence after clashes with Colin Turkington and Rob Austin in race two.
