Newly-crowned British Touring Car Independent drivers' champion Andrew Jordan has set the overall crown as his next goal.
The Eurotech Honda driver went into the Brands Hatch finale last weekend with an outside chance for the overall crown, but had to settle for fourth behind works Honda drivers Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal, and MG factory racer Jason Plato.
He nevertheless beat WSR BMW drivers Rob Collard and Tom Onslow-Cole, and Mat Jackson (Motorbase Ford Focus) to the Independents' crown in his new-for-2012 NGTC Civic.
"I think I've shown really well this season and if I can continue maturing hopefully we can do better next year," said Jordan, who has four overall BTCC race victories to his name.
"You've got to step up and try to achieve higher."
Jordan is set to continue with the Eurotech Honda squad in 2013, alongside regular team-mate Jeff Smith, who was ninth in the Independents' standings.
The Eurotech squad also clinched the Independent teams' title at Brands, beating Motorbase by nine points and WSR by 14.
