World Rally champion Sebastien Ogier has been named as Rally Driver of the Year for the second year in succession at the 2014 AUTOSPORT Awards in London.
In a season dominated by his Volkswagen team, reigning champion Ogier beat his team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala to the title and won eight times along the way.
As VW stormed to 12 victories out of 13 rallies in 2014, Ogier had to rely on his championship winning experience to hold off a resurgent Latvala.
After disappointing performances in Finland and Germany, Ogier hit back to win in Australia and eventually secured the title with a round to spare in Spain.
"It was tougher than last year, and if I won it's because of an amazing team job with Volkswagen and my co-driver Julien Ingrassia," says Ogier.
"It was quite intense. Formula 1 was an intense competition, but I think rallying was similar.
"There were some rallies mid-season when I was not completely there, but I'm happy that I managed to react and get my speed back."
He will stay on with VW for 2015 alongside Latvala and third driver Andreas Mikkelsen.
