Formula Renault 3.5 convert Sten Pentus will join the Auto GP field from round two at Valencia this weekend.
The 30-year-old Estonian has secured a drive with the Virtuosi UK team, which currently leads the standings with Pal Varhaug after the Monza season-opener.
"My aim was to take part in the championship with them from the opening round in Monza but it wasn't possible, so I'm really looking forward to this weekend," Pentus said.
"Obviously, I know that it won't be easy as my rivals already have one day of testing and one full race weekend under their belts, but luckily we'll have three hours of testing in Valencia on Thursday, so I will try to make the most of those to get acquainted with the car.
"Usually I'm pretty quick in learning new cars, and judging from the performances boasted by Virtuosi UK in Monza our ride should be quick, so there are reasons to be confident."
Pentus has raced in FR3.5 for the past three seasons, winning races and finishing fourth in the standings with Fortec in 2010, although he struggled with the Epic team last year.
