Auto GP secures nine teams for 2014 championship
Nine teams have confirmed their entry for the 2014 Auto GP championship, with two further additions possible
New Spanish team Puma 3 Motorsport has been named alongside all of the 2013 bar Manor MP Motorsport.
Manor MP team manager Sander Dorsman told AUTOSPORT last year that Daniel de Jong, son of team owner Henk de Jong, was keen to focus on GP2 and discontinue his parallel Auto GP campaign for the coming season.
Vincenzo Sospiri's Forli-based team is entered under its former name Fortec Italia Motorsport, but a team spokesperson told AUTOSPORT that it could revert to its 2013 designation Euronova Racing.
It will also continue in Formula Renault 2.0, but is still considering whether to switch from the Alps series to the NEC, and is ending its involvement in Formula Abarth in favour of Italian Formula 4.
In addition to Puma 3 Motorsport, two other teams are potential candidates to join the Auto GP line-up before round one in Marrakech on April 12.
Guiseppe Fogola has expressed interest in entering the series with his Team Spirit outfit, which tested at Vallelunga last December.
Auto GP also revealed that Rocco Pedruzzi is interested in returning the RC Motorsport name to high-level single-seater racing.
