Silverstone Auto GP: Narain Karthikeyan gets post-race penalty
Narain Karthikeyan has lost his fourth place finish in Silverstone's second Auto GP race, after race officials awarded the ex-Formula 1 driver a 25-second post-race penalty for passing under yellow flags
The Indian had taken victory on his debut outing for Super Nova in Saturday's opening race.
"We asked to see video evidence, but there wasn't any," said Karthikeyan, who was demoted to 12th.
Super Nova team manager John Sears said: "I don't think we'll protest it, I am pretty certain lack of video evidence isn't sufficient grounds for a protest."
The yellow flags were brought out for an opening-lap incident at The Loop between Karthikeyan's team-mate Vittorio Ghirelli and Ghinzani driver Robert Visoiu.
Romanian Visoiu has received a five-place penalty for his part in the accident, to be applied at the next round at Mugello on July 13-14.
