Iaconelli scores third Auto GP win
Carlos Iaconelli took his third win from a race two reverse grid in the second Magny-Cours Auto GP round today
Just as he had at Imola and Spa, the Durango driver gained Sunday pole by finishing eighth on Saturday, then hung on to that advantage throughout the second race.
Jan Charouz (Charouz-Gravity) and Edoardo Piscopo (DAMS) chased Iaconelli all race without managing a breakthrough, and completed the podium.
Romain Grosjean's superb run for DAMS came to an end as he hit the stalled car of Lazarus driver Fabio Onidi at the start. There was more misery for Giorgio Pantano too, his Euronova car halted by a gearbox problem.
