Dragon Racing made a belated start to its Indy 500 campaign today after IndyCar granted the team permission to change from Lotus to Chevrolet engines.
Sebastien Bourdais completed his oval refresher course in team-mate Katherine Legge's car this morning, and then remained in the car to work on the set-up before it is handed over to Legge later. T
he Brit is still required to complete her Rookie Orientation Programme.
"We are pleased to see this issue resolved as we head into the final practice days in advance of qualifying," said IndyCar CEO Randy Bernard. "I have to thank all parties for working together to help preserve the traditions of the Indianapolis 500.
Dragon has been on the sidelines since it issued a $4.6m lawsuit against Lotus two weeks ago over what it claims were numerous breaches of contract.
