Christian Vietoris has been given a two-place grid penalty for Sunday's DTM race at Lausitz after blocking Bruno Spengler during qualifying.
After reviewing video evidence and a timekeeping report, race stewards decided that the HWA Mercedes driver had impeded the progress of polesitter Spengler's Schnitzer BMW during the second part of qualifying.
This contravenes article 33.3 of the DTM sporting regulations, meaning that the German, who lies fourth in the championship, will receive the penalty at the British circuit.
His penalty drops him from 16th to 18th on the grid.
