Alexander Sims and Yelmer Buurman will head up the Status GP team's driver line-up for its debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship at Spa this weekend.
European Le Mans Series participant Status has gained a late entry for its Lola-Judd/BMW B12/80 in the Spa 6 Hours after the withdrawal of the new Pescarolo-Judd 03. It has signed Sims, Buurman and four-time Le Mans 24 Hours starter Romain Iannetta for the event.
Sims has extended his deal for the ELMS to include Spa. Buurman will undertake another one-off with the team after making his prototype debut at the ELMS opener at Paul Ricard.
The line-up for Spa looks likely to be retained for Le Mans in June. Only Sims is confirmed for the remainder of the ELMS.
