Rally Argentina's opening stage delayed due to vehicle stuck on road

The start of the first full day of Rally Argentina has been delayed due to a vehicle stuck on the opening La Pampa stage.
AUTOSPORT understands that a fuel tanker heading for the refuelling point has come to a halt on the course and will need to be removed before the stage can commence. Reports from the service park suggest that it could take up to an hour before the stage start will take place.
The delay is a boost for Sebastien Loeb. Running first on the road on Friday, the world champion had been concerned that he would be at a disadvantage on La Pampa as he would be covering the opening part of the stage in darkness, whereas dawn would have broken fully by the time drivers further back took to the stage. Now the full field will run in daylight.
After Thursday's rain, conditions for the first day of full-length stages are currently dry.
