Toro Rosso's Jean-Eric Vergne to start Chinese Grand Prix from pitlane

Jean-Eric Vergne, Toro Rosso, Shanghai 2012Jean-Eric Vergne will start from the pitlane for the Chinese Grand Prix after his Scuderia Toro Rosso team made changes to his car overnight.

Following a disappointing qualifying performance, Toro Rosso changed the floor, barge board, floor to rear wing spacer, nose barge board, sidepod wing, T-tray, sidepod inlet and ballast.

As these parts are different to the ones that were originally used, under parc ferme regulations it means that Vergne will not be able to take up his 18th place on the grid, so must start from the pitlane.
