Niki Cadei will start Sunday's first Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli race from pole position, after topping both qualifying sessions at Monza.
The Italian set his best time of 1m51.170s in qualifying one, and while he could not eclipse that time in qualifying two, he was still the fastest driver in the field, putting pole position beyond doubt.
With none of the drivers improving on their qualifying one times, the second 30-minute session wound up having no bearing on grid positions. German Bjorn Grossman will start alongside Cadei on the front row, with Andrea Belluzi and Adrii Kruglyk locking out the second row.
Depsite going third quickest in the second qualifying session, Stefano Gai will start race one fifth, next to fellow Italian Dario Caso.
Robert Pergl, Flavio Pierleoni, Alexandr Skryabin and Max Blancardi rounded out the top 10, with just 1.036 seconds covering the first five rows.
Britons Alexander Martin and Gary Eastwood will start 12th and 14th respectively.
