Auto GP tweaks race 2 points system for 2012 season

The Auto GP World Series has announced more points will be awarded to drivers in Sunday's races this season.

Earlier this year, Auto GP changed its regulations, introducing mandatory pitstops for race 2 and increasing the length of race 1 to 85 km.

The organisers have decided to now increase the amount of points awarded in race 2 as follows:

1st 20 points
2nd 15 points
3rd 12 points
4th 10 points
5th 8 points
6th 6 points
7th 4 points
8th 3 points
9th 2 points
10th 1 point

The new system means 10 drivers will score points now rather than eight as in previous years.
