Russian Sergey Sirotkin is to contest the Auto GP World Series with the Euronova Racing team of 1995 Formula 3000 International champion Vincenzo Sospiri.
Sirotkin, who is just 16 years old, graduates as the reigning champion of the European Formula Abarth series, which he won after switching to Euronova mid-season. He is a member of the Lukoil Driver Development programme.
As well as Auto GP, Sirotkin will also contest the Italian Formula 3 Championship with Euronova.
"Sergey did an amazing job last year and has a talent and maturity that are outstanding for a driver of his age and experience," said Sospiri. "This will be an intensive year for Sergey, who will compete in two championships with us, but it is an opportunity that will give him valuable experience as he continues his single-seater career."
Sospiri guided the initial career of Sirotkin's countryman Vitaly Petrov, who was a race winner in Formula 3000 Euroseries (the forerunner to Auto GP) with Euronova.
